| In June of 2000, a group of young people attended a Tonasket City Council meeting and requested that the city do something positive for the youth of Tonasket, and build a skatepark. The city council was supportive, but because of financial reasons, they declined. The council did, however, give the young people encouragement to raise enough funds to build the park themselves. With that in mind, B3 Skatepark Project was created, and a handful of dedicated young people took on an often times overwhelming task of raising enough money to build a skatepark. (from tonasketskatepark.org) Jerry Allstot was one of those young people who approached the Tonasket City Council. In 2002, Jerry was working in Seattle, and had a life insurance policy at his place of employment. At the time of his death, Jerry's family donated his life insurance to the Tonasket B3 Skate Park in his name. |

| In October, 2010, Billy, Stephanie, and Nursery owner, Patty Baker, (along with three of Billy's employees) planted trees and bushes to create a landscaped area and a sound barrier along the North end of B3 Skate Park. Stephanie and Patty designed the landscaped area, Billy pushed the dirt, and they all dug, hauled rocks, planted and watered. | |

The plantings are all deer resistant. At the top of the hillock, they planted Whitebarked Himalayan Birch, Hick's Yew, and Purple Rain European White Birch on the west corner. |

On the sides of the hillock, they planted Nest Spruce, Blue Oat Grass, Limemound Spirea, Daphne Spirea, Goldfinger Potentilla, Foerster's Feather Reed Grass, Blue Rug Juniper, and Dwarf Mugo Pine. The Juniper should grow to 10 feet in diameter. Again, all the plants are deer resistant. |
